The 13th International Symposium on the Czech Foreign Policy themed “Post-Pandemic Foreign Policy: Strengthening Resilience, Prospects and Pitfalls”, and organized by the Institute of International Relations Prague, will challenge a broad exchange of perspectives and scientific research on building resilient key actors, institutions and mechanisms against external influences and threats.
It focuses on three levels of analysis:
- the international system and the sustainability of international norms and rules confronted by alternative and non-democratic forces;
- the state level and fostering national interest while sharing best practices in countering shared challenges;
- the individual level, which taps into the choices of citizens and strengthening of civil society.
The discussions will seek synergies and likely introduce innovative solutions, in collaborations within the European space and global multilateral structures. It is anticipated that the outcomes of this event could lead to valuable policy recommendations for the upcoming 2022 Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and help decision-makers to navigate foreign policy priorities in the complex post-pandemic world.
