Czech Republic
Czech foreign, security and various other policies, as well as Czech relations with the world more generally, lie at the heart of research conducted at the IIR. Being a member of the EU and NATO, the Czech Republic faces a number of common European challenges, while interpreting and approaching them through the distinct prism of its historical and cultural experience, as well as from the perspective of a middle-sized state positioned outside of the European core. Our research thus seeks to make sense of this particular position and, simultaneously, enrich and inform the debate on key foreign policy issues.
