The year 2019 promises to have a transformational impact on the European Union. Not only that the exit of the United Kingdom from the EU is looming around the corner, but the upcoming elections to the European Parliament are going to shape European politics for the next 5 years. The French President, Emmanuel Macron, is thus appealing to all Europeans to face this year's challenges and opportunities together in order to fundamentally update policies and institutions of the European Union. How realistic and how effective to solve pressing European issues are individual proposals voiced in his appeal "For European Renewal"?
Our distinguished guests at the IIR will do their best to answer this question on Friday afternoon.
Speakers:
- H.E. Roland Galharague (Ambassador of France to the Czech Republic )
- Ms. Milena Hrdinková (State Secretary for European Affairs at The Office of the Government)
- Mr. Matúš Halás (Head of the Centre for European Security at the IIR)
Working language is English.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the lecture.
