Report on Human Rights Violations by the Russian Federation

Reflection

The report by our senior researcher Veronika Bílková and her colleagues Cecilie Hellestveit and Elīna Šteinerte, prepared within the framework of the so-called Moscow Mechanism of the OSCE, documents cases of arbitrary deprivation of liberty of Ukrainian civilians by Russian authorities.

The report analyses the legal aspects of these acts, documents systematic human rights violations, and identifies possible war crimes and crimes against humanity. It also includes recommendations for international organizations, states, and the Russian Federation to ensure justice for the victims and end the unlawful detention of Ukrainian civilians.
