BBC: Good morning Scotland - situation in the Middle East
In his interview with BBC Radio Scotland, our senior researcher Azriel Bermant comments on the situation in the Middle East. He highlights that Israel views the fall of the Assad regime in Syria as a positive development because it weakens Iran's influence. However, he also points out that Israel's strikes in Syria reflect concerns about chemical weapons, missiles, and anti-aircraft systems potentially falling into the hands of jihadist groups. According to him, the chaos at the border brings a new level of uncertainty for Israel.
