Europe As a Task
We are excited to share that, together with the Association for International Affairs (AMO) and the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, we are organising the first edition of the Europe as a Task Conference – a new high-level international event focused on the future of the EU.
12. 5. 2025 (10:00)
Prague Castle, Spanish Hall
Europe as a Task focuses on addressing key European challenges from a global perspective and enriching discussions on the EU within the Czech context. Recognising the need for a platform to foster a meaningful dialogue on European affairs, we bring expertise, research, and fresh perspectives to the conversation.
The inaugural ceremony of the conference will take place on May 12, 2025, in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle, attended by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. The working part of the conference will follow on May 13, 2025, held at the Czernin Palace.
The first edition of the conference, held under the theme Pursuing prosperity in a shifting world, focuses on core challenges in European politics, such as Europe’s geopolitical influence, security, trade policy and competitiveness. Through high-level dialogue, the conference aims to generate actionable insights for a stronger, more resilient Europe and foster and enrich pro-European thinking in Central Europe.
This year's topics include:
- Competitiveness of the European Economy
- Economic Security and the EU as a Geopolitical Player
- Support for Ukraine and the Security Situation in Europe
The conference is organised by AMO - Association for International Affairs, Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM and the Institute of International Relations Prague in cooperation with the Office of the President of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic, Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung, the Government Office of the Czech Republic, and the International Visegrad Fund.
